This amazing whitetail deer was pursued by Al Dawson for 5 years when he invited his friend, Del Austin, to join him. Unbelievably, it was Del that made the successful shot with a recurve bow in 1962 (after being in his stand only 45 minutes). It was the world record for almost 40 years. Notice the unique drop tines next to its face and the sticker points on its brow tines. This rack has 95 2/8" of abnormal points. It's nickname of "Old Mossy Horns" came from his shedding velvet hanging down -- looking like moss hanging from his huge rack.
