NEW BRUNSWICK # 1 NON-TYPICAL. To say this set of antlers is wide is just silly. It's not wide, It is W-I-D-E! So wide, in fact, that even an experienced woodsman like Ronald Martin, first thought he had spotted a woodland caribou in 1946, not a whitetail! But with one shot from his expert hands, this freak of nature was down! But antlers weren't considered anything of worth in those days, and he almost left the antlers behind in the woods. They remained in obscurity, in his home for the next 3 1/2 decades! A mammoth spread of 37 0/8" is this buck's most striking feature. W-I-D-E is also the word to best describe the actual antlers themselves. Each massive beam palmates out into a crown of tines at each end, as evidenced by 3rd circumference scores of over 8". There is a total of 34 points and 79 5/8" of abnormal points to make this buck one of the most striking of all!
