MINNESOTA'S #2 TYPICAL and ranks 11th overall! Wayne was a teenager when he downed this once-in-a-liftime deer, while on a deer drive with his brother and father. Body weight was the thing that mattered back in 1961, not antlers. So the antlers were just kept in the garage. Many years later, Wayne's brother Bobby was tragically killed in a car accident. As a tribute to his brother, Wayne finally decided to get the antlers mounted. It was taken to a taxidermist, but while sitting in a car, it was stolen. Many, many years passed, and only with good detective work and a good lawyer, were the antlers rightfully restored to Wayne. A brilliant trophy in that it breaks the magic 200" mark with only a 15 5/8" spread! It more than makes up for that though with outstanding mass and tine length. Compact and and very tall, Wayne's brother would be very proud!
