World Class Dall

ITEM #0736

185 4/8" Gross, 184 4/8" Net

Sheep

Sheep/Goat

$750

The name of this beautiful sheep is not without merit. This magnificent dall sheep horn is just a little short of the current world record. Horns lengths are an amazing duplicate of each other at 46 7/8" each. The bases are 13 6/8" and 14". For all of its size, the difference between the two sides is only 1", as both sides are not broomed off, but still intact. This is very rare indeed, when a ram gets to this size of dominance. The color, balance and sheer size of this truly trophy dall sheep is a credit to the species.

Shed

$1,800

This is the current world record single shed. At exactly 180", it outscores any other wild non-typical shed by a long way. Paired with its left side mate, The Minnesota Monarch (item #0027, Premier Non-typical section) is the largest set of non-typical wild sheds in the world. You can follow the progression of this one-of-a-kind deer through its sheds in Minnesota Monarch shed set #2, (items 0249 and 0251) and Minnesota Monarch shed set #3 (items #0253 and 0254). The deer came into a yard near Ely, Minnesota every winter, where a gentleman fed the deer year after year. The animals often dropped their antlers close by, as such was the case in this record breaking set in the spring of 1989.

$3,600

BUCKMASTER'S WORLD RECORD TYPICAL PERFECT ANTLER! The Johnny King buck has been at the center of a scoring controversy in the whitetail world for years. Twelve mirror like tines line up along long beams of over 29", while five of those tines measure over 10". It is also blessed with mass measurements of over 5" all the way out to the end of the beams. It was originally scored at an eye-popping 224 4/8" gross, and net 213 6/8" Boone and Crockett, which would make it the new world record typical, but this scoring was later rejected by Boone and Crockett. Putting scores aside, there is no denying that this is one deer in tens of millions and will not be easily, if ever, surpassed!

The Rath family liked to hunt deer together on their south central MInnesota farmland and they had been doing it for years. When the gun season of 1977 came around, they were at it again. This time, there were high hopes, as a big buck had been spotted sporadically throughout the summer. The family deer drive did what it was intended to do, and flushed the monster buck out to where the lucky Jim had only a 20 yard shot. It took only one slug to bring the animal down for good. A massive typical frame gives this buck a very symmetrical look for a non-typical antler, which produces a tremendous looking shock appeal!

The legendary Hole-in-the-Horn is the #2 Non-Typical of all Time, but quite possibly the most famous whitetail to ever walk the earth! Loved and admired throughout the whitetail world, the Hole-in-the Horn has no less than 45 points and an almost unheard of 192 7/8" of abnormal points. A small hole in the right antler provides the majestic king his name as this buck is believed to have been struck down by a train in Portage County, Ohio around 1940, since a railroad crew found him along the railroad grade under a trackside fence.
