Knifehandle I set. Tom Sexton

The long lost Knifehandle Buck is finally rediscovered after 40 years! Evidence of a record setting Iowa buck was only known through a pitchfork-like typical right shed (item 0062). The left side was long thought to have been destroyed by being cut up for knife handles. Only through chance and the persistence of Klaus Lebrecht was the lost left shed found in 2012. Together again for the first time in 40 years, with an estimated spread of 21 7/8″, this mystery mammoth scores a breath taking 232 0/8″ gross. For the whole story, see Big Buck Magazine’s winter 2012 issue.
