Monkey Mountain Monster
The Monkey Mountain Conservation Area of northwestern Missouri lent its name to this unusual trophy buck. Its presence was first made known only through a single, unusually configured shed. By the middle 1990’s, his rack had exploded into the 250″ range, making him a noteworthy buck. Unfortunately, it was a car and not a hunter that brought about his demise in the fall of 1997. If he had been entered into the record books, the Monkey Mountain Monster would be the #3 all time for the “Show Me State”.
