In an area he knew well, Fred Sierks was still hunting in a field of cedars on Dec 19, 1992. The cedars made it hard to see any bucks, but a bit of movement caught his eye around 3:30 pm. He sighted in on a nice shooter buck, but quickly changed his aim, when a HUGE buck came into view.  His shot hit the animal in the shoulder, but didn’t take him down, and the buck sped off. Using every hunting instinct he had acquired over years of hunting, Fred tracked the deer for over 1/2 mile, with no luck. Thinking quickly, he took out his rattling antlers and wondered if a wounded buck would respond.  It didn’t take too long and Fred caught a flash of antlers in a ravine up ahead. His second shot was a success and Fred had his buck of a lifetime. The Bear Claw is one of the most beautiful non-typicals in the Antlers By Klaus collection. One of those rare typical-looking, non-typicals. You may have guessed — the nickname of “The Bear Claw” comes from the unique look of its brow tines.

All Antlers By Klaus products are insured during shipping. If an item arrives damaged, please contact us immediately within 5 days of receipt. Retain all original shipping materials, including the box. The freight carrier will need access to the original shipping materials for inspection and return. We will either exchange or repair the item.
