This 172 5/8” brow tine monster was found dead in Crawford County, IA in 1992 and qualifies as a pick up deer. It has the rare quality of being able to be scored as both a typical and as a non-typical. The obvious unique feature of this deer is his incredibly long brow tines. with the left side measuring an astonishing 15 7/8″ and the right 14 1/8″. Brow tines of this length are extremely rare, making the John Shumate deer a unique addition to anyone’s collection.
